I joined Chiarle lab as a research assistant in June 2012, with an interest in the effects of chromosomal translocations to tumor cell formation, especially leukemia and lymphoma. I have a BS degree in Biology from Anadolu University (Eskisehir/Turkey) studying the bioinformatics of the unicellular organism Tetrahymena thermophila and a MSc degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics & Biotechnology from Istanbul Technical University, with a special focus on development of bio-scaffolds for bone tissue engineering and fusion proteins as biosensors. I have also attended ongoing related research at Harvard-MIT HST as a visiting student right before joining Chiarle Lab.
