I earned my M.D. degree from the University of Catania (Italy) in 2011, and completed the specialty training in Medical Oncology at the University of Perugia (Italy) in 2017. In 2016 I have joined the Lowe Center for Thoracic Oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston, as visiting scientist focusing on MET exon14 skipping mutations in non-small cell lung cancer and immunotherapy associated toxicities under the supervision of Dr. Mark Awad. During these years of clinical research and training, I also developed an interest towards a more in-depth comprehension of lung cancer biology. Therefore, I have joined Roberto Chiarle’s Lab as a Ph.D. student focusing on mechanisms of ALK translocation and ALK associated immune response in non-small cell lung cancer.
