Claudia Voena received her PhD in Experimental Hematology from the University of Torino and the Board Certification in Clinical Pathology from the University of Torino. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Molecular Biotechnology and Health Sciences of the University of Torino. During her PhD she worked on the molecular pathogenesis of multiple myeloma and on the development of new approaches for the detection of minimal residual disease in hematological malignancies in the laboratory of Prof. Alessandro Pileri and Prof. Paolo Corradini (University of Torino) and Prof. Claudio Bordignon and Prof. Paolo Corradini in Istituto San Raffaele (Milano, Italy). For her post-doc she joined the Molecular Oncology Laboratory (Prof. Giorgio Inghirami and Prof. Roberto Chiarle- University of Torino and Boston Children’s Hospital) where she worked on the comprehension of the molecular mechanisms of transformation in ALK driven tumors through high-throughput screening techniques to the generation of mouse models to test new therapeutic approaches.
