Jasna joined Chiarle’s lab as a visiting graduate researcher (University of Turin) to investigate Anaplastic Lymphoma Kinase (ALK) receptor as a therapeutic target in Merkel cell carcinomas. Using a translational research approach, she is interested in understanding the biological and molecular concepts of carcinogenesis, progression and response to therapy of solid tumors, in particular those with neuroendocrine differentiation. She believes that asking clinically significant research questions is equally important as answering them with scientific rigor, teamwork, and creativity.
